Please note that the following service items are fully subsidised by Government and hence no co-payment fees should be chargeable :
- Processing your enrolment to the Programme.
- Laboratory analysis of the FOBT specimen.
- Any encounter with the PCD where the sole purpose is for re-issuing of FOBT tubes or for further advice on how to collect the stool specimen.
- Any encounter with the PCD where the sole purpose is for communicating a negative FOBT result.
Making a co-payment
- Co-payment fee refers to the fees charged to you by the PCD for the subsidised scope of services on top of the Government subsidy.
- Depending on your choice of PCD, you may need to pay a co-payment fee for the medical consultation services rendered by the doctor. This fee, which should be the same for the first consultation (to obtain the Participant’s Pack) and second consultation (to receive counseling and referral for colonoscopy in the event of a positive FOBT result).
- The Government provides subsidy for the Second Consultation carried out by the same PCD who saw you during the First Consultation. Where a PCD charges a co-payment for the First Consultation, the same co-payment for the Second Consultation should apply.
